A key component under this project is to engage men through accountable practices for reducing GBV and VAWG in refugee villages. In the first quarter of project implementation, IMC field staff will be trained on EMAP after contextualizing the EMAP model. Then community men and boys will be engaged through EMAP model for their effective and sustainable contribution towards greater objectives of the project interventions.
The PSHEA Specialist and CCIC PSHEA Sector Hub Manager will play a critical role at CCIC, leading the establishment of the Sector Hub and its related activities. In this role, you will manage project funding from Global Affairs Canada (GAC) to develop and deploy trainings and related materials, develop a repository of best practice and management tools/policies, conduct research, liaise and coordinate with international PSEA initiatives, and provide on-going technical assistance to stakeholders across Canada.
On Wednesday, 4th September, ALNAP will host a 90-minute webinar sharing examples of protection activities in urban areas, with speakers from ICRC and (former) Medair. The webinar is a chance to discuss the unique challenges of designing and delivering protection activities in urban contexts.
