Humanitarian Financing For Women's Organisations and Groups - GBV AoR Helpdesk 2024
22 Nov, 2021
This report identifies a range of funding opportunities for national and local women’s rights organizations to help prevent and respond to GBV in emergencies. Women around the world have lived experiences that are different from men, informed by norms that perpetuate gender inequality. This gender inequality in turn underpins multiple forms of violence that women and girls are exposed to across their lives. In humanitarian settings, certain types of violence against women and girls, (VAWG, also referred to as gender-based violence, or GBV) can increase. Women’s organizations with expertise in addressing GBV are often best- placed to identify and meet the needs of women and girls affected by GBV in their communities, as well as to undertake contextually relevant strategies to prevent GBV. This document was developed to identify potential sources of funding for local women’s organizations. This list of donors is not exhaustive but serves as a starting point

Cash assistance within GBV case management in Honduras: Saving lives and meeting the urgent needs of GBV survivors
19 Jul, 2024
Honduras is facing a multidimensional crisis, exacerbating widespread violence against women and individuals with intersecting vulnerabilities. As part of its efforts to better support those affected by gender-based violence (GBV) in Honduras, UNFPA provides cash assistance to GBV survivors through confidential, one-on-one GBV case management. Between 2023 and 2024, UNFPA disbursed approximately 690 cash transfers to women enrolled in case management in the country. Recipients used this tailored and flexible assistance to meet their immediate needs, move forward in their recovery from past incidents of violence, and prevent imminent risks and reliance on negative coping mechanisms. This case study is also available in Spanish.

Core Humanitarian Standard on Quality and Accountability - CHS Alliance 2014
04 Jul, 2019
The Core Humanitarian Standard on Quality and Accountability (CHS) is a direct result of the Joint Standards Initiative (JSI) in which the Humanitarian Accountability Partnership (HAP) International, People In Aid and the Sphere Project joined forces to seek greater coherence for users of humanitarian standards. The JSI consulted more than 2,000 humanitarian workers in head offices, regions and in disaster-prone countries. The feedback highlighted the need for the harmonisation of standards, with communities and people affected by crisis at the centre and humanitarian principles as the foundation.
