Cette bibliographie annotée compile des ressources en français pour les interventions en matière de violence basée sur le genre (VBG) en situation d'urgence. Ce document comprend à la fois des documents de niveau global qui ont été traduits de la langue dans laquelle ils ont été initialement produits (principalement l'anglais) vers le français, ainsi que des ressources régionales et nationales sur la VBG produites dans des pays francophones.1 Cette bibliographie vise à faciliter l'accès des praticiens francophones de la VBG à des conseils, des connaissances et des outils en français qui les aideront à mettre en œuvre des programmes de prévention et de réponse à la VBG. The Regional Emergency GBV Advisor (REGA) project was established in 2014, to strengthen system-wide capacities and promote collective accountability to GBV prevention, response and risk mitigation. The project is field-focused, and strengthens country-level gender-based violence (GBV) sub-clusters coordination in emergencies. The REGA project\mechanism was established through a strategic partnership between UNFPA, NORCAP and the GBV AoR. The GBV AoR, with UNFPA as its lead agency, is a functional component of the Global Protection Cluster.

Since 7 October, heavy bombardments and displacement throughout Gaza have left civilians in dire humanitarian need, with the situation turning into a catastrophe – especially for the estimated 1.1 million women and girls. The number of internally displaced persons (IDPs) in Gaza is currently estimated at around one million (half the population), with a large part of that population living in overcrowded and under-supplied shelters with food, water, and fuel running out – and basic and life-sustaining services becoming more inaccessible. The UN Secretary-General has called for a “humanitarian ceasefire” and that “Gaza needs aid at scale and on a sustained basis”. Civilians, healthcare infrastructure, and schools are not a target - all parties to the conflict must respect international humanitarian law.
