Managing Gender-Based Violence Programs in Emergencies Training Course
International Medical Corps is now accepting applications from emerging GBV specialists for the next eight-day, in-person training titled the ‘Managing Gender-Based Violence Programs in Emergencies Training Course’ tentatively scheduled for 23 June to 1 July, 2022 in Athens, Greece. The training is part of the MGBViE global learning program that aims to increase the number of GBV specialists in complex emergencies and is funded through the U.S. Department of State, Bureau of Population, Refugees, and Migration. The deadline to apply has been extended to 10th May 2022.
Call to Action Annual Meeting
As the current lead of the Call to Action, the Government of Canada, is organizing the 2019 Annual Partners Meeting with the Women's Refugee Commission and members of the Steering Committee. The objectives of the 2019 Annual Partners Meeting include: 1) Addressing challenges and identifying opportunities, both immediately and through the updating of the Road Map. a. Deciding on priorities for collective work in 2020 and develop action plans to address gaps and take these priorities forward. b. Confirming the process for drafting and finalizing the Road Map 2.0. 2) Reflecting on progress made against the implementation of the 2016-2020 Road Map and delivering the final push to achieve commitments made under the 2016-2020 Road Map.

SVRI Forum 2019’s focus is on research working to understand and redress inequity among vulnerable populations to ensure no-one is left behind; research on violence against women and linkages to violence against children, realising the SDGs and research for social change and global movements.
