Launch and Implementation of the GBViE Minimum Standards in the Caribbean Region
The webinar's theme is the launch and implementation of the Inter-Agency Minimum Standards in the Caribbean Region. An introduction to the Minimum Standards for GBV in Emergencies will be provided, and after that an overview of how UNFPA SROC has been implementing these standards across the region. Three local actors from Belize and Trinidad & Tobago will share their experiences using the Minimum Standards in the development of GBV Referral Systems and the Distribution of Dignity Kits, and at the end UNFPA will provide an overview of the recently activated GBV Sub-Regional Sub-Sector under the Response for Venezuelans Coordination Platform, covering Guyana, Trinidad & Tobago, Aruba and Curacao. The provided examples will cover the region's experience in using the Minimum Standards to respond to the Venezuelan Emergency, the Hurricane Season and the COVID-19 Pandemic. The main GBV Minimum Standards document provides details on the 16 Standards, key actions that should be taken to achieve each standard, the minimum indicators needed to measure each standard, guidance notes with further information and tools and resources to support the fulfilment of each standard. This document acts as a complement to the main Minimum Standards guidance and explores potential avenues to monitor and evaluate the achievement of each standard. It is a compilation of current best practices and measurement tools that are available for humanitarian agencies and clusters to employ as they seek to rollout and measure their progress against each standard. Using the definitions and tools included in this document, actors and agencies implementing GBV-specialized programming1 will be able to consistently measure core and recommended indicators related to the standards.

The Facilitator’s Guide: Applying and Understanding the Inter-Agency Minimum Standards for Gender-Based Violence in Emergencies Programming (Facilitator’s Guide) aims to enhance understanding and application of the Inter-Agency Minimum Standards for Gender-Based Violence in Emergencies Programming. The Facilitator’s Guide aims to equip a diverse range of actors implementing, supporting and/ or planning to implement, specialized GBV programming in humanitarian settings with (1) an understanding of the GBV Minimum Standards’ content; and (2) a process for assessing how the GBV Minimum Standards are currently implemented in their setting to support the improved application of the Standards without doing harm.
