On 7 November at 12am (CEST), the Participation in Displacement Working Group of the Global Camp Coordination and Camp Management Cluster will be organizing a webinar titled ‘Women’s Role in Coordination during Displacement’, based on research conducted by Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC). Rapid Review of the inclusion of People with Disabilities and Older People in Gender-Based Violence (GBV) Humanitarian Interventions - ELRHA & Voice 2019
01 Nov, 2019
Elrha is a global charity that finds solutions to complex humanitarian problems through research and innovation. Elrha identified a knowledge gap in good practices and innovation for how people with disabilities and older people are included in gender-based violence interventions in humanitarian contexts. To support a new area of focus under their Humanitarian Innovation Fund on Disability and Older Age Inclusion, Elrha commissioned an independent rapid review to review the inclusion of people with disabilities and older people in humanitarian GBV interventions.

06 Nov, 2019
This paper focusses on the issue of technology in GBV prevention, mitigation and response in emergencies and aims to improve knowledge and understanding of good practices and lessons learned in harnessing technology to improve efforts to address GBV in humanitarian action. The paper was first published in 2019. The information and analysis were developed through review of recent literature and evidence on the use of technology-related innovations in GBV programming in humanitarian and non-humanitarian contexts, semi-structured interviews and correspondence with technology, GBViE and other specialists, and analysis of case studies collated based on a framework for enquiry. The paper was updated in December 2021 with a review of the latest literature and evidence to reflect recent developments in technology and GBV, including during the COVID-19 pandemic.
