The SVRI is seeking the services of a qualified consultant to support the SVRI Technical Specialist in conducting various tasks related to literature review, developing course content, documenting case studies, hosting online learning events, creating accessible knowledge products, and organizational policy revision process. This consultancy is a part-time contract position for approximately 9 months and is a home-based consultancy with no travel requirement.

Sexual Violence Operations Manager

The Sexual Violence Operations Manager is overall accountable for the delegation’s implementation of the Sexual Violence Strategy. S/he coordinates between the relevant colleagues within the delegation (including coordinators and across departments) thereby ensuring functioning and efficiency of multidisciplinary response, as well as externally with other actors, while also providing technical expertise, where needed, to the delegation both through training and sensitization as well as through direct implementation of field activities.

UNFPA CVA Activities in Bangladesh

UNFPA found that facility-based deliveries by women in refugee camps in Cox’s Bazaar were low (35%), which is linked to increased maternal mortality. In addition, undernourishment among pregnant women in this community increased their risk of poor pregnancy outcomes such as obstructed labor and premature and low birth weight newborns.

The COVID-19 pandemic heavily impacted sex workers in Indonesia: their incomes decreased dramatically, they encountered greater difficulty accessing healthcare, and many of them could not access the government cash assistance that was set up to help Indonesians during the pandemic.
