An important part of the job is to train, guide and support relevant staff at the different NCA country offices around the world on GBViE programmes, but also strengthening GBV prevention, protection and response in NCA’s partners’ humanitarian interventions. You will be an integral part of NCA's programmes on Gender-based violence in conflict, post-conflict and humanitarian crisis. You can expect frequent travels, both to NCA’s country offices as well as in humanitarian responses.

The GBV Coordinator is responsible to ensure comprehensive GBV prevention, risk mitigation and response programming in Burkina Faso by all GBV actors from the displaced and host communities, NGOs, government partners, UN agencies, and other national and international organizations throughout the nexus humanitarian, peace and development. 

The GBV Coordinator’s duties include:  building and sustaining partnerships, strategic planning, capacity development, advocacy, and information management.

The GBV Sub-Cluster Coordinator’s duties include liaison and coordination with other organizations (coalition building), training and sensitization, strategic planning, and monitoring and evaluation. S/he will use the IASC Guidelines for GBV Interventions in Humanitarian Settings and companion materials (orientation and training guides, planning worksheets, etc.) to facilitate planning, coordination, monitoring and evaluation of GBV programmes.
