Through this consultancy, WVI will explore multipurpose cash as a modality of assistance for protection interventions that reduce the risks faced by the most vulnerable and marginalized groups. The flexibility, the choice and dignity of this modality offers beneficiaries the ability to prioritise the most immediate needs of their households. This work will also examine whether cash transfers can be a viable form of assistance to address evolving vulnerabilities that are complex, unforeseen and intangible, and often fall outside of the standard humanitarian response.
