To support the Kabul-based gender and social development team in implementing the Afghanistan GBV Road Map and to provide technical input and support on operational gender issues and policies in Afghanistan. This assignment will ensure that portfolio-wide, there is an understanding of key risk factors that contribute to GBV/SEA, and that there are effective and efficient ways to support implementation of appropriate measures that make projects safer for women and children.

Girls Not Brides is seeking a Policy and Member Engagement Officer for Latin America and the Caribbean to work with the Head of Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC) Engagement in coordinating outreach to civil society, spearhead engagement with governments, institutions and stakeholders, and play a key role in the implementation of Girls Not Brides’ strategy in the region. The successful candidate will be bilingual (English and Spanish) and will be based in Mexico City.

Women Protection & Empowerment Coordinator

The Women’s Protection & Empowerment (WPE) Coordinator will provide leadership, oversight, technical support across all WPE programming components in IRC Bangladesh; will conduct regular technical visits to protect sites/locations to ensure that interventions are technically sound, in-line with international standard methodologies, and are appropriately meeting the needs and priorities of women and girls, and female survivors in target communities.

Provider/Team to Conduct GBV Gap Analysis

Our GBV Gap Analysis 2.0 will build on the work of our original GBV Gap Analysis. It will expand on the global situational analysis already conducted to encompass GBV prevention, risk mitigation and response, and identify the most pressing gaps, or needs, to be addressed. In doing so, we expect the GBV Gap Analysis 2.0 to increase attention to the priorities of women, girls and GBV practitioners affected by crisis.

Gender-Based Violence Experts

Selected experts will work closely with civil society organisations (CSOs) and networks in the Lake Chad region in Cameroon, Chad, Niger and Nigeria. The positions are hosted by UN agencies in the four project countries and will work in collaboration with other capacity development experts in the field, and the NORCAP  Project Manager based in Oslo. In this role you get to work with a range of organisations across different geographic locations.

Special Adviser on GBV in Emergencies

CARE seeks an experienced and motivated humanitarian policy and advocacy specialist to coordinate work across the humanitarian system to operationalize the GBV Accountability Framework that was developed by the Real-Time Accountability Partnership (RTAP).  As the lead of this 18-month project, s/he will have an in-depth knowledge of humanitarian architecture at the field and global level.

16 Days of Activism against Gender-based Violence: Activities Report, Whole of Syria

In 2019, the Whole of Syria (WoS) GBV AOR was able to organize events to mark the 16 Days of Activism against GBV from its three hubs – Syria (SYR), Turkey cross-border (TXB), and Iraq cross-border (IXB). This allowed for the targeting of women, girls, men and boys in all areas inside Syria as well as in Gaziantep, where Turkey cross-border GBV actors are based.
