To consolidate the significant progress made to date to prevent, mitigate and respond to SGBV across UNHCR, which included convening regional and national workshops, supporting operations with national action plans, and providing funding and guidance for the implementation of projects proposed by various operations, as well as to further institutionalize UNHCR’s SGBV response premised on collective accountability, the Organization will be launching its first “UNHCR Policy on the Prevention, Risk Mitigation, and Response to Sexual and Gender-Based Violence” in 2020 in pursuit of mutually supporting policy objectives.
