On October 22, 2019 from 8:00-9:30 am (EST) , the Localization Task Team of the Gender-Based Violence Area of Responsibility (GBV AoR) will be hosting a webinar entitled, “GBV Localization and Young Survivors in Humanitarian Contexts.”   Featuring the work of the Child and Adolescent Survivor Initiative (CASI), this webinar will examine how localization can be effectively be promoted within the context of prevention, response and coordination initiatives for young survivors of sexual violence in emergency settings.  CASI staff and partners in the field will share examples of good practice as well as challenges and lessons learned.  Presenters will also discuss linkages between their work and the overall emphasis on localization that exists within the GBV and Child Protection Areas of Responsibility as well as the humanitarian sector as a whole.
