This event will launch the Interagency Minimum Standards for GBV in Emergencies Programming the GBViE Minimum Standards in the Caribbean Region. Following an introduction of the standards and an explanation on how the UNFPA SROC has been implementing these across the region.
Three local actors from Belize and Trinidad & Tobago will share their experiences using the 16 standards in the development of GBV Referral Systems and the Distribution of Dignity Kits, and UNFPA will provide an overview of the recently activated GBV Subregional Subsector under the
Response for Venezuelans Coordination Platform, covering Guyana, Trinidad & Tobago, Aruba and Curacao. All of these examples will cover our experience in using the MS to respond to the Venezuelan Emergency, the Hurricane Season and the COVID-19 Pandemic.
