Regional Emergency GBV Advisors (REGA)

Meet the Regional Emergency GBV Advisors (REGA)

The REGA represent the GBV AoR, and are an inter-agency resource available for country support missions within their regions of operation. They provide expertise and tailored support to governments and UN actors including GBV sub-clusters and GBV coordinators, HCTs and program staff, NGOs, government partners, and national partners. The REGA advocate for the recognition that GBV response and prevention is lifesaving, and that GBV programming is everyone’s responsibility and needs to be addressed with adequate, comprehensive and coordinated action in humanitarian contexts.

There are currently 4 REGA deployed around the world.
