How to Join the AoR?

There are two levels of organised engagement with the GBV AoR: membership and association

Membership is only open to organisations, not individuals and requires a letter of commitment from a director within the organisation. Members commit to:

  • Uphold, use and actively promote GBV AoR agreed principles, standards, tools and other products at all levels within our organisation and with partners.
  • Actively Participate in GBV Prevention and Response coordination at field level fora where we have GBV Prevention and Response Programmes.
  • In contexts or situation where the interagency tools are not appropriate, coordinate with other responding agencies and agreeing an alternative.
  • Provide inputs to all interagency tools and resources produced by the group, according to area of expertise, mandate and interests; endorse these tools ant resources.

What if you don’t want to join, but you want to be informed of the work of the group?

A separate mailing list is used for distribution go GBV AoR Monthly Updates, which give an overview of the achievements and work of the group. Additionally some parts of the GBV AoR annual meetings are open to external actors such as donors, humanitarian policy makers and humanitarian actors from other sectors.
